One Year and Counting

It is in those deep, Wintery moments,
on deep, December days, where
we look carefully past each other’s noses,
silently agreeing to ignore cold air and warm thoughts.

Polite snow falls, showcasing the mirrored sky
as it comfortably freezes the December
ground below, keeping us even closer
together, although unwilling to tangle for too long.

Lost in this combined memory is the potential for
Springtime and momentum, because
deep December days continue to blind,
allowing for arrhythmic possibilities, without solution.
